A Story To Share..

I was browsing through some of my old stuff that I have kept since I was little. I found an old children's story in my tin box. I remembered I love the story so much that I wrote it down on pieces of paper and stapled it up so that I'll be able to read it again after I've returned the book to the library. The story is called "Love You Forever" by Robert Munsch. I was unable to find the book in any of the bookstores till I might have forgotten all about it as I start to get busy with school. Since I found the story again, I think my only option now is to purchase it online.

Let me share with you the story by listening to the video of the author himself reading the story:

There was a mother who had a new baby.
And she picked it up and rock it back and forth,
back and forth, back and forth and sang:

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be."

Well, that little baby, it grew.
It grew and it grew and it grew and it grew,
until it was two years old.
And it ran all around the house,
push over bookcases, took things off the wall,
and picked up it's mother's watch and flushed it down the toilet.
Sometimes the mother would say,
"This kid is driving me CRAAAZZZYYY!"

But at night time, when that little kid was asleep,
the mother would opened up the door to his room,
crawled across the floor, looked up over the side of the bed.
And if that two year old kid was really asleep,
she would picked it up and rock it back and forth,
back and forth, back and forth and sing:

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be."

Well that two year old,
it grew and it grew and it grew and it grew.
It grew until it was nine years old
and it never want to come in for dinner, and when it did come in,
sometimes it would say bad words at the dinner table.
Sometimes the mum would say,
"This kid is driving me CRAAAZZZYYY!"

But at night time when that nine year old is asleep,
the mother would opened up the door to his room,
crawled across the floor, looked up over the side of the bed.
And if that kid was really asleep,
she would picked it up and rock it back and forth,
back and forth, back and forth and sing:

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be."

Well that nine year old,
it grew and it grew and it grew.
It grew until it was a teenager.
And it had strange friends,
and it wore strange clothes and it listened to strange music.
Sometimes the mother would say,
"This kid is driving me CRAAAZZZYYY!"

But at night time, while that teenager was asleep,
the mother would opened up the door to his room,
crawled across the floor, looked up over the side of the bed.
And if that great big kid is really asleep,
she would picked him up and rock him back and forth,
back and forth, back and forth and sing:

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be."

Well that teenager,
it grew and it grew and it grew,
It grew until it was a grown up man.
It left home and moved all the way to the other side of town.

But sometimes on dark nights, the mother would drive across town.
When she came to her son's house and if the lights were all out,
she would climbed up the bedroom window,
opened it up, crawled across the floor,
looked up over the side of the bed.
But if that great big man was really asleep,
she would picked him up and rock him back and forth,
back and forth, back and forth and sing:

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be."

Well that mother,
she got older and older and older.
One day she calle dup her son and said,
"You'd better some and see me cos' I'm very old and sick."
The son came to see his mother
and the mother tried to sing the song and she said:

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always..."

She was too old and sick to sing the song.
The son walked over to the mummy,
he picked her up and rock her back and forth,
back and forth, back and forth and sang:

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
My Mummy you'll be."

And it was late that night when the son got home
and he stood for a long time at the top of the stairs.
Then he went into the bedroom where his very new baby daughter was sleeping.
He looked at that little girl and he picked her up and rock her
back and forth, back and forth, back and forth and sang:

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be."

I do hope the story touches your heart as how it did to mine till now.

Marry You..

Hmm. Can you hear that? I've changed the song in my playlist. To those who are wondering and trying to figure out the title of the song on the screen, it's called "Marry You" by Glee Cast members. Now please, please, please tell me people you've watched "Glee". My jaw will seriously dropped open if you tell me that you've never seen it before! YOU ARE MISSING SUCH A GREAT SHOW, YOU KNOW! And for those who are in love with it, I just have one thing to say, we shall be a FAITHFUL GLEE FANS together, ok?! Lol!

In the meantime, this song has been playing in my mind ever since I've watched one of their episode from Season 2. This song was originally sang by Bruno Mars. Well, sorry to say but the Glee casts bring out the best in the song rather than the original singer himself. Opps!

Here's a short video from YouTube taken during the scene of them performing the song.

"Marry You" Lyrics:

It's a beautiful night,
We're looking for something dumb to do.
Hey baby,
I think I wanna marry you.

Is it the look in your eyes,
Or is it this dancing juice?
Who cares baby,
I think I wanna marry you.

Well I know this little chapel on the boulevard we can go,
No one will know,
Come on girl.
Who cares if we're trashed got a pocket full of cash we can blow,
Shots of patron,
And it's on girl.

Don't say no, no, no, no-no;
Just say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah;
And we'll go, go, go, go-go.
If you're ready, like I'm ready.

Cause it's a beautiful night,
We're looking for something dumb to do.
Hey baby,
I think I wanna marry you.

Is it the look in your eyes,
Or is it this dancing juice?
Who cares baby,
I think I wanna marry you.

I'll go get a ring let the choir bells sing like oooh,
So whatcha wanna do?
Let's just run girl.

If we wake up and you wanna break up that's cool.
No, I won't blame you;
It was fun girl.

Don't say no, no, no, no-no;
Just say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah;
And we'll go, go, go, go-go.
If you're ready, like I'm ready.

Cause it's a beautiful night,
We're looking for something dumb to do.
Hey baby,
I think I wanna marry you.

Is it the look in your eyes,
Or is it this dancing juice?
Who cares baby,
I think I wanna marry you.

Just say I do,
Tell me right now baby,
Tell me right now baby. x2

Cause it's a beautiful night,
We're looking for something dumb to do.
Hey baby,
I think I wanna marry you.

Is it the look in your eyes,
Or is it this dancing juice?
Who cares baby,
I think I wanna marry you.

Hope you did enjoy listening to the song.

Something for Christmas..

Christmas event for this year, my colleagues decided to do something different. Yes, we did exchanged gifts however, there was more to it. We played a game called "Manito Manita". It is actually a traditional Christmas game. "Manito" is a male whereas "Manita" is a female. The rule for the game is that each of us are to picked a piece of paper which consists of the names of the players. We are not supposed to reveal to anyone the person that we have gotten and that person is our Manito/Manita. Looking at where I'm working, all of us are actually Manitas. Lol!

Each day, there will be a theme for us to give our gift to our Manita however we have to do it secretly cos the Manita is not supposed to know who is their Angel (the person she receive the gift from). For example, the theme for Day 1: Something Hot. We are supposed to buy the gift that is based on the theme and the budget that we have set for the gift is between $0-$2. We played it for 2 weeks and by the end of it, the Angels will reveal themselves to their Manitas by presenting the actual Christmas gifts.

So, let me present to you the gifts that I have received from my Angel.

Day 1: Something Hot
Gift: Salonpas

Day 2: Something Useful
Gift: Tissue Facial Remover

Day 3: Something Recyclable
Gift: 2010 & 2011 Calendars

Day 4: Something Holey
Gift: Orange Bangle

Day 5: Something Hairy
Gift: Rubber Band

Day 6: Something Edible
Gift: Onion, Chilli Padi, Ginger & Garlic

Day 7: Something Funny
Gift: Shaver

Day 8: Something Tormenting
Gift: Edited Pic With Skull Head

So, the last day came whereby I'll get my actual Christmas gift from my Angel. Throughout the days, I've got no idea and clueless who my Angel was. And boy, was I so surprised that it was my mentor, Julie! I should present her with a BEST ACTRESS award next time round. Lol! So here's the gift I've received from her......

Helen's Bracelet!!
I love it!
Thank you, Julie!

Becoming Agents..

Yea, that's right. With much difficulty, I've decided to become and be part of the team of Agents. Not any agents, but a CSI Agent. Well, at least for one day. Hehe!

As if I could become one because seriously, at the sight of blood and whatever other things these CSIs have to face, I'll be the first to faint. Lol! Anyways, I did went to the CSI Exhibition @ Singapore Science Centre with my Darling Faisal. He was the one who wanted to go for it so as a SWEET fiancee, I went along to accompany him. Sweet right, sweet right??? Hehe!

And, of course, we became CSI Agents during the exhibition. Task: Finding evidences and clues for us to solve the crime scene which was given to us. Pretty exciting even though I don't really watch CSI that much. They also have videos and facts at each station on how those different evidences that they have found are useful in solving the crime cases. There are also showcases of the different tools used during autopsy, in DNA Lab etc.

So for those who are interested to become a CSI Agent for the day, the ticket will be $20. There are also other packages which you can purchase. For us, we took the CSI Exhibition+Science Centre= $21. Plus, if you're a Starhub subscriber or a Passion cardholder, you'll get a further 10% discount. Click here to view the official website.

BuuuuSSSSSSSyyyyyy!

Oops! Has it been a month since I've not updated my blog? Well, I really do apologise for that. November and the beginning of this month was such a hectic month. We had spring cleaning of the centre, MCYS audit, setting up our new class, taking the new 2011 children and curriculum discussion. Whoa! I need a break soon. Thank God I managed to take leave next week even if it is only for three days. At least it's better than having none at all. Anyways, I'll have to end it here for today. I'll update again next week.
